Our Take
PORCELANOSA Paramus operates as both a full-service showroom and a remodeling contractor, positioning itself to handle the material selection and installation side of aging-in-place bathroom and kitchen work. Located on Route 17 in Paramus - a Bergen County community with a growing population of residents over 65 - the company stocks tile, flooring, countertops, cabinetry, and fixtures across a substantial retail footprint. For someone planning a bathroom safety upgrade or a kitchen modification to support aging in place, that means seeing and touching options in person before committing, which matters when choosing non-slip flooring or accessible fixtures.
Their public profile lists bathroom remodeling and kitchen remodeling as primary services, along with the underlying material categories: flooring, countertops, tile, and kitchen and bath furnishings. This suggests they can shepherd a project from concept through installation, sourcing premium materials alongside the labor. Walk-in tubs, walk-in shower conversions, grab bar installation, countertop lowering, and ADA-compliant toilets all sit within the scope of work a full-service bathroom remodeler would typically handle, though specific expertise in universal design or aging-in-place certification is not documented in available listings.
Early ratings across 96 reviews settle at 4.0 out of 5 stars, a substantial sample that suggests consistent performance without dominant praise or criticism in the public record. That volume of feedback offers a baseline sense of reliability and customer experience, though it does not necessarily indicate specialized aging-in-place expertise or universal design training among staff.
For a household in North Jersey considering a bathroom refresh with safety and accessibility in mind - particularly one drawn to European tile, kitchen, and bath aesthetics - PORCELANOSA's showroom and remodeling capacity make it worth an initial consultation to discuss materials, layout, and whether their team has handled similar projects.
