Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect information on Age At Home Directory. Last updated May 2026.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected via Age At Home Directory (the "Service"). By using the Service you consent to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

Submitted directly by you - when you fill out our contact form or send us an email, we receive the information you choose to share (typically name, email, subject, and message), plus the page URL you submitted from.

Collected automatically - like most websites we receive standard server log data such as IP address, browser user-agent string, referring page, and timestamps. We use Google Analytics (Measurement ID G-JNN7BH3VVF) to understand aggregate site usage. Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser.

From public sources - contractor listings are built from publicly available business directories and the United States Census Bureau API. We do not buy personal data.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to: (a) respond to your inquiries, (b) operate and maintain the Service, (c) understand and improve how the Service is used in aggregate, (d) detect and prevent abuse, and (e) comply with legal obligations.

4. What we do NOT do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not run third-party advertising on the Service. We do not share your contact form submissions with the contractors listed on the Service unless you explicitly ask us to.

5. Service providers

We use a small number of vetted third-party service providers to operate the Service: cloud hosting and database (Emergent), email delivery (Resend), web analytics (Google Analytics), and AI text generation (Anthropic Claude via Emergent's LLM proxy). These providers receive only the information necessary to perform their function and are contractually obligated to protect it.

6. Cookies & tracking

We use a minimal set of cookies for accessibility preference storage (a localStorage entry remembering your contrast or text-size setting) and for Google Analytics. You can disable cookies at the browser level; the Service will continue to function with reduced functionality (we will not remember your accessibility preferences across visits).

7. Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain a record of communication, typically 24 months. Aggregate analytics data is retained per Google's default retention policy.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you reside, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email hello.digitalproperties@gmail.com from the email address you used to contact us, and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. No system is perfectly secure - please do not submit sensitive personal information (e.g., financial or health data) through our forms.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
