KB Refinish Inc. Bathtub reglazing & Kitchen cabinets refinishing

KB Refinish Inc. operates from Sylmar, a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley where nearly a quarter of residents are over 65 and homeownership runs high - the kind of community where people want to stay in their own homes as they age. The company brings 15 years of experience in bathtub and shower reglazing, kitchen cabinet refinishing, and countertop work, having completed more than 5,000 surfaces across the region.

For aging-in-place projects, KB Refinish's core strength lies in bathroom modifications. They handle walk-in tub conversions and walk-in shower installations, which are central to preventing falls - the leading injury risk in homes. They also install grab bars and can adapt ADA toilets, addressing the safety upgrades that make bathrooms accessible. Beyond the bathroom, they work on countertop lowering for easier reach, non-slip flooring, and first-floor living configurations, touching several dimensions of what makes a home work for someone aging in place.

The company's approach centers on reglazing existing surfaces rather than full replacement, which they position as faster and more affordable than traditional remodeling. This method can be practical for budgets tight or timelines short, though it's worth asking directly about longevity and warranty on refinished surfaces - reglazing is a different undertaking than new installation.

Early ratings are promising: a perfect 5.0 across five reviews is a modest but solid sample. The company is licensed and insured, a baseline requirement.

KB Refinish is worth contacting if you're looking at bathroom safety upgrades or kitchen cabinet work in the Sylmar area and want to explore cost-effective refinishing as an alternative to full replacement.
